Miscellaneous French language satirical prints collected by Alfred Bendiner, ca. 1823 - 1950

Prints are French language social and political satire and caricatures, primarily from mid-19th century periodicals, including L'Eclipse, Journal Amusant, Le Charivari, Le Grelot, and L'Assiette au Beurre. Although many of the prints have been removed from periodicals, some of the periodicals are intact. Artists represented by more than five images are Paul Hadol, J.J. Grandville, Alfred Petite, André Grill, Honoré Daumier, and Stop.
