   Summary:

   Alberto Nepomuceno was a Brazilian composer, conductor, and teacher. The collection consists primarily of scores, most of which are photocopies of holographs, including two operas, nine orchestral, and twelve chamber and solo works, as well as approximately forty songs and other vocal works. In addition, the collection contains several photographs of the composer and his wife and other printed materials.

   Summary:

   Dorothea Dix Lawrence was a successful opera singer in the 1930s and 1940s who later became a recitalist and folklorist. The materials in the collection include correspondence, photographs, clippings and other items that document her career as a singer and interpreter of American folk music. In addition, the collection includes her articles on American folklore that were published in various journals, and two copies of her famous Folklore Music Map of the United States. The collection also includes piano-vocal opera scores and a large number of American folk songs.

   Summary:

   Charles Tournemire was a French composer, organist, and teacher. The collection chiefly consists of holograph, manuscript and printed music by Tournemire and other composers. Also included are several libretti, one scrapbook, and other annotated or inscribed materials.

   Summary:

   Léo Delibes was a French composer known primarily for his stage works, including operas, ballets, and incidental music. His compositions display the wit, lightness, and elegance characteristic of nineteenth century French music and were premiered at the Théâtre des Bouffes-Parisiens, Opéra-Comique, and Théâtre Lyrique, among others. His ballets Coppélia and Sylvia and opera Lakmé have remained standards of the repertoire. The collection includes holograph manuscripts and sketches for many of his operas, ballets, and vocal and piano music.

   Summary:

   Isobel Stone (circa 1892-circa 1969) was a lyric soprano, poet, author, librettist, and composer. This collection contains unpublished typescript libretti and holograph piano-vocal scores and lead sheets for sixteen of her operettas, including The Midnight King, Ojeda, and Youthbound.

The collection includes music scores by Adams and others, correspondence, business and financial papers, biographical materials, programs and promotional materials, and clippings.
