   Artur Schnabel was an Austrian-born American pianist, pedagogue, and composer. Mary Virginia Foreman Le Garrec was Schnabel's student and confidante. The collection includes holograph manuscript and published music scores by Schnabel as well as published scores by other composers, some of which contain annotations in the hands of Schnabel, Le Garrec, and others.
