Summary:
The collection documents Hongyi He's method and philosophy behind her papercutting repertory through her biography, publications, and samples of her work. Papercuts created during a lecture/demonstration and interview at the Library of Congress on February 24, 2006, are also contained in this collection, along with several paper-cuts that were later donated to the American Folklife Center.

Summary:
The entire repertories of four master storytellers, Dai Buzhang, Fei Zhengliang (Fei Li), Gao Zaihua, and Ren Jitang (Ren Dekun) were recorded on video for the project "Large-scale Registration of Chinese Storytelling" from 2001 to 2003 in Yangzhou. In addition, a medium-length repertoire was told by Ren Dekun. Project co-leaders were Fei Li and Vibeke Børdahl, project assistant, co-editor and translator was Huang Ying, Yangzhou University; photographers were Li Xin and Chen Wei, Yangzhou. Yangzhou storytelling (Yangzhou pinghua) is oral narrative, primarily in Yangzhou dialect, performed with gestures and learned through apprenticeship with a professional master storyteller.

M. Davis from 1997 to 2005 for her dissertation, published as Song and Silence: Ethnic Revival on China’s Southwest Borders, Columbia University Press, 2005. The collection includes some materials documenting Tai people and traditions in Burma.

Summary:
Manuscript materials, sound recordings, photographs, and color slides documenting the performance of bluegrass music, blues music, Armenian music, Senegalese music and dance, Irish music, country music, gospel music, Chinese traditional music and modern compositions, Caribbean music, and Polish music and dance celebrating the Harvest Festival from several regions in Poland. Most concerts were recorded live outdoors on Neptune Plaza in front of the Thomas Jefferson Building, Library of Congress. The concert of Chinese music was recorded in the Coolidge Auditorium, Library of Congress. The May 22 concert was held in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Neptune Plaza Concert Series. Concerts were held from April through September 1986, sponsored by the American Folklife Center and the National Council for the Traditional Arts.

Audio and video recordings, photographs, posters, and handouts related to programming by the Center for Traditional Music and Dance (CTMD) from 1968 to 2015. The CTMD archive is among the largest collections of video, sound recordings, photographs, and ephemera documenting the diversity of New York's immigrant performing arts traditions over the past fifty years. The collection includes hundreds of hours of audio and video recordings, newsletters, fliers, and photographs documenting music and dance of Balkan, Greek, Jewish, Irish American, Puerto Rican, Central Asian, South Asian, Haitian, Chinese, Korean, and other immigrant and ethnic communities including interviews and performances of more than 15 NEA National Heritage Award recipients.

The collection consists of field notes, interviews, curriculum materials, sound recordings, photographs, and one videorecording resulting from a survey conducted by the American Folklife Center, Library of Congress in 1982 which documented 23 ethnic schools in the United States.
