Processing History
The Diane Wolkstein collection was processed by Sara Ludewig and Ying-Ting "Serena" Chiu in 2023 and 2024.
AFC 2016/057: SR002 was deaccessioned by Sara Ludewig in January 2023, as the tape was discovered to be blank upon digitization. AFC 2016/057: SR147 and SR148 were deaccessioned in June 2024, as the tapes were discovered to be blank upon digitization.
In 2023, Sara Ludewig assigned each piece of digital media a unique digital ID number and Serena Chiu ripped audio discs from CDA to WAV format. Ludewig identified duplicate content or materials outside of the collection's scope and deaccessioned these digital carriers. She also deleted empty or temporary files and minimally arranged files within folders. Files retained their original file names and Ludewig processed each digital carrier into archival information packages (AIPs). Digital materials are described at the digital carrier level within their intellectual series. The optical discs that originally housed digital files were retained as part of the collection.
