Summary | The collection includes two diaries documenting Thomas Estévez Terry's service in the United States Army during World War I. The first diary contains daily entries documenting his deployment from Camp Merritt, New Jersey, to France in January of 1918, and concludes with a December 31, 1918, entry, written while he was with American Expeditionary Forces in Occupied Germany. The second diary begins in January of 1919 while he was still stationed in Occupied Germany and contains daily entries by Terry until his return to the United States in August 1919.
