Biographical Note
Joseph P. Mastrangelo was born in 1922 and died in 1999. Mastrangelo worked at the Washington Post from the mid-1960s until the early 1980s. He composed maps for the newspaper and wrote stories that appeared in the Metro and Style sections of the Post. He also was a veteran of World War II who served on a submarine in the Pacific.
