Summary | The collection consists of 13 remote-sensing maps of locations in the United States, 1 remote-sensing map of the Amazon Basin, and 7 illustrations concerning the NASA Earth Resources Technology Satellite (ERTS-1), which became known as Landsat 1. The materials are covered in Mylar and appear to have been part of an exhibition created by Gary W. North that includes one small banner. In addition, there are two unrelated volumes. One is titled Description of the Ordnance Survey Large Scale Maps, which was published around 1921 by the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton. The second volume is titled Stereograms prepared by the University of Illinois Committee on Aerial Photography. The latter volume's materials date from the 1930s to the 1950s. |
