Scope and Content Note
The Alanna Nash Archive spans the years of 1924-2008, with the bulk of materials dating from 1973-1988. The majority of the collection shows Nash’s research and publications of D.W. Griffith, John Dillinger, and Jean Muir and the connections she made to the family and friends associated with these figures.
The collection is arranged in four series from largest to smallest extent, with the newest addition, the Hollywood Blacklist series, added to the end: D.W. Griffith, John Dillinger, miscellaneous, and Jean Muir.
Series 1, D.W. Griffith, contains interview transcripts, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and articles written by Nash.
