Biographical Note
Andre Kostelanetz was a Russian-born, American conductor and arranger who rose to prominence as the conductor of the CBS Broadcasting System’s symphony orchestra in the 1930s. Kostelanetz was a conductor of radio, music programs for Chesterfield Cigarettes, Coca-Cola, and more. In 1937, Kostelanetz started his own radio program “Andre Kostelanetz presents”, which brought classical music to the masses.
