Biographical Note

Gwen Verdon (1925-2000) was a musical theater dancer, actor, and choreographer. Bob Fosse (1927-1987) was a dancer, choreographer, director, and producer. Verdon and Fosse became collaborators in 1955 when they met on the set of Damn Yankees. In 1960, they were married until Fosse's death.
