Al Wester began his career in radio in 1948, where he first announced Major League Baseball for the Mutual Broadcasting Network. He went on to anchor, play-by-play, and color analyst work in television and radio for the alphabet networks and expanded his coverage to professional and college baseball, basketball, football, and golf.
