Scope and Content Note
The New American Radio Project Papers consist of documents related to works and programing produced and distributed by New Radio and Performing Arts, Inc., along with writings by New American Radio (NAR) co-founder Helen Thorington and others about NAR, radio art, and related topics.
Series 1, Arist Files, consists of various papers related to individual creators episodes and other works.
Series 2, Programming, consists primarily of the programming announcements sent out to member stations, containing summary descriptions of the episodes distributed by New American Radio. In addition, the series contains curated lists of select episodes selected for archival preservation, and other inventories.
Series 3, Writing and Outreach, encompasses articles, book manuscripts, lectures, and other writings about New American Radio, radio art, and related topics. Most of the writings are by New American Radio co-founder Helen Thorington unless otherwise indicated.
