Provenance
The papers of Henry Brandon were donated to the Library of Congress by his widow, Mabel H. Brandon, in 1994. Additional items were given by Mabel H. Brandon in 2011 and by his daughter, Fiona Brandon, in 2012.
Processing History
The papers of Henry Brandon were arranged and described by Laura J. Kells with the assistance of Jennifer Bridges and Lisa Madison in 1995. The online version of the finding aid was created in 2011. Additions to the papers given by his widow and daughter in 2011 and 2012, respectively, were combined and processed as a 2019 addition by Emilia Schrier. The finding aid was revised in 2019 by Emilia Schrier.
Transfers
Items have been transferred from the Manuscript Division to other custodial divisions of the Library. Some photographs have been transferred to the Prints and Photographs Division. Sound and video recordings have been transferred to the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division. All transfers are identified in these divisions as part of the Henry Brandon Papers.
