The papers of Ayn Rand, author and philosopher, were received by the Library of Congress from Leonard Peikoff in 1991-1992 and 2002. Also in the collection is a letter given to the Library of Congress by Mrs. Laurie in 1965. An addition was given by Stuart Rose in 2003.

The papers of Ayn Rand were arranged and described in 1995. The register was revised in 2000 and in 2002. An addition was processed and the register revised in 2003.
