The papers of Alexander King, illustrator, author, and raconteur, were donated by King's widow, Margie King Barab, to the Library of Congress in 1987.
Processing History
The papers of Alexander King were arranged and described in 1991. The finding aid was revised in 2004.
Transfers
Items have been transferred from the Manuscript Division to other custodial divisions of the Library. Books have been transferred to the Rare Book and Special Collections Division. Illustrations and photographs have been transferred to the Prints and Photographs Division. Phonograph records and video recordings have been transferred to the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division. All transfers are identified in these divisions as part of the Alexander King papers.
