Scope and Content Note
The papers of Mabel T. Boardman span the years 1853-1945, with the bulk of the material dated 1894-1929. The collection consists of correspondence, diaries, genealogical material, letterbooks, miscellaneous drafts, newspaper clippings, printed matter, and other material relating to Boardman’s personal life, her work with the American National Red Cross, as a commissioner for the District of Columbia, and in relation to the presidential administrations from William McKinley to Franklin D. Roosevelt. The collection is arranged in three series: Diaries , Correspondence , and Miscellany . Correspondents include William Howard Taft.
