Scope and Content Note
Paulette Greene, rare book and manuscript collector and dealer, specialized in works by Edna St. Vincent Millay. Greene’s research and collecting file includes correspondence and newspaper clippings, photographs and postcards, performance and conference programs, and sale catalogs and book advertisements relating to Millay. The collection spans the years 1920-1998 and primarily concerns Millay’s legacy as a lyric poet, as a playwright and stage performer, and as a Bohemian artist, one of the early twentieth century “modernists” who challenged traditional conventions in American letters.
