The papers of J. C. Bancroft Davis, jurist, diplomat, journalist, and court reporter, were given to the Library of Congress by the estate of his widow, Frederica Gore Davis via his son, Andrew McFarland Davis, in 1917.
Processing History
The papers of J. C. Bancroft Davis were arranged and described in 1975. The collection was expanded and revised in 1998. The finding aid was revised in 2009.
