Scope and Content Note
The papers of Emilia Mayer-Gallin span the years 1926-1959 and include correspondence, writings, diagrams, and notes. The collection is in German. Mayer-Gallin has been identified as the author of Lebenswege und Lebensentscheidungen, Eine Auseinandersetzung mit der Psychoanalyse (Wien: Wilhelm Braumü Verlag, 1952). Included in her papers are a manuscript draft and published copy of "Über Inhalt und Vorgang der Sexualität nach der Pubertät und über Geschlechtswahl, die Liebe," 1940, by Maria Flechner, apparently Mayer-Gallin's pseudonym. Other writings consist almost exclusively of autobiographical materials, 1929-1959. Correspondents include Paul Federn, Ernest Jones, and Sándor Ferenczi.
