Provenance
The papers of Gilbert M. Hitchcock, United States senator and newspaper publisher from Nebraska, were given by Mrs. Gilbert M. Hitchcock in 1941. Additional material was purchased in 1944.
Processing History
Part of the collection was microfilmed circa 1950. The papers were expanded in 1984, and the finding aid was revised in 2009.
