Provenance
The scrapbooks of Frederic William Wile, journalist, foreign correspondent, and radio commentator, were transferred to the Library of Congress from the Army War College in 1947. Wile's bookplate indicates that the volumes were a gift to the college in 1941.
Processing History
The scrapbooks of Frederic William Wile were microfilmed in 1986. Except for a small file of correspondence and miscellaneous original items removed from the volumes after filming, the scrapbooks were not retained after the completion of the microfilm edition. The finding aid was revised in 2009.
