Scope and Content Note
The papers of Burton Kline (1877-1958) span the years 1896-1954 and consist primarily of correspondence, typescripts of books, short stories, and articles, and printed matter. In a few cases, the typescripts include both an original and a later carbon copy. The printed matter consists of articles, editorials, and short stories, plus some reviews of musical events by Kline. It also includes reviews of Kline's books.
Chief correspondents include Franklin D. Roosevelt, Franklin P. Adams, George Ade, Theodore Dreiser, H. L. Mencken, and George Jean Nathan.
