Acquisition Information
The papers of Frank M. Johnson, lawyer and judge, were given to the Library of Congress by Johnson in 1990-1992. In 2000 a large addition of material was given to the Library by Johnson’s wife, Ruth. Small additions were given by others between 2000 and 2011.
Processing History
The Johnson Papers were processed in 1991 by Connie L. Cartledge with the assistance of Allyson H. Jackson and Patrick Kerwin and revised and expanded with a large addition in 1993 by Cartledge with the assistance of Allyson H. Jackson and John Monagle. Additions received after 1993 were processed in 2014 by Connie L. Cartledge with the assistance of Maria Farmer, Sherralyn McCoy, Kimberly Owens, and Tammi Taylor. The finding aid was updated in 2023 by Maria Farmer as part of a division-wide remediation project by the Inclusive Description Working Group.
