Acquisition Information
The papers of Minnie Maddern Fiske and Harrison Grey Fiske were given to the Library of Congress by Olive Kookan in 1961. An addition was purchased in 1970 and material was transferred from the Smithsonian Institution in 1970.
Processing History
The papers of Minnie Maddern Fiske and Harrison Grey Fiske were arranged and described in 1979 by Grover Batts. Revisions to the arrangement and description were completed in 1994, 2006, and 2010 by Patrick Kerwin, Nan Thompson Ernst, and Kimberly Owens
Transfers
Items have been transferred from the Manuscript Division to other custodial divisions of the Library. Approximately 1,500 photographs have been transferred to the Prints and Photographs Division. Approximately 125 pieces of sheet music have been transferred to the Music Division. Bound theater programs have been transferred to the Rare Book and Special Collections Division. All transfers are identified in these divisions as part of the Minnie Maddern Fiske Papers.
