The papers of Emma Dorothy Eliza Nevitte Southworth (1819-1899) span the years 1870-1918, with the bulk of the material consisting of letters from Mrs. Southworth to her daughter, Charlotte Southworth Lawrence, relating to personal and family affairs and to life in Georgetown (Washington, D.C.), between 1890 and 1899.
