Provenance
The papers of Smith Ely Jelliffe, neurologist, psychoanalyst, and educator, were given to the Library of Congress by Arcangelo D’Amore and Nolan D. C. Lewis in 1976. Mr. and Mrs. Carel Goldschmidt deposited items in 1978, and Mrs. Goldschmidt gave additional material in 1981. The deposit was converted to a gift in 1979. Additional material was given by Robert Stragnell in 2001.
Processing History
The papers of Smith Ely Jelliffe were housed and listed circa 1981. The collection was expanded and partially reprocessed in 2010. The collection and finding aid were revised in 2011
