Provenance
The papers of Walter L. Fisher, lawyer, municipal reformer, and U.S. secretary of the interior, were given to the Library of Congress in 1955 by his daughter, Margaret Fisher. An additional gift was received in 1959 from his son, Arthur Fisher. Further additions were received from another son, Walter T. Fisher, from 1964 to 1976.
Processing History
The papers of Walter L. Fisher were arranged and described in 1959. The finding aid was revised in 1985 and 2013.
