The collection on opium traffic of Ellen Newbold La Motte, nurse, superintendent of the tuberculosis division of the Baltimore (Md.) Health Department, traveler, and author, were given to the Library of Congress by La Motte from 1934 to 1940.
Processing History
The La Motte Collection was processed in the 1940s and rehoused in 2002. The finding aid was revised in 2012.
