Provenance
The papers of Nathan F. Twining, U.S. Army and Air Force officer and publishing company executive, were given to the Library of Congress by Twining in 1957. Additions were made by Twining and the Office of the Chief of Staff, United States Air Force, 1959-1961.
Processing History
The Twining Papers were processed in 1973 and revised in 1985. The finding aid was revised in 2013.
Transfers
Items have been transferred from the Manuscript Division to other custodial divisions of the Library. Photographs have been transferred to the Prints and Photographs Division. A tape recording has have been transferred to the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division. All transfers are identified in these divisions as part of the Nathan F. Twining Papers.
