The records of the Gridiron Club, journalistic organization founded 1885, were given to the Library of Congress by J. Alexis Shriver and Henry F. Ashurst in 1943 and by the Gridiron Club via James Free, club historian, between 1981-1986.
Processing History
The collection was processed in 1981 and expanded in 1987. The finding aid was revised in 2013.
Transfers
Audio and video recordings have been transferred to the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division where they are identified as part of the Gridiron Club Records.
