Scope and Content Note
The papers of Lloyd Viel Berkner (1905-1967) span the years 1928-1967, with the bulk of the material concentrated in the period 1946-1967. The collection consists of correspondence, speeches, biographical material, financial records, newspaper clippings, photographs, and other papers relating to Berkner's career as an engineer and physicist and to the International Geophysical Year, 1957-1958.
