Provenance
The records of the United States Department of the Treasury were acquired by the Library of Congress through gift, transfer, and purchase from 1905 to 2015, including transfers from the Treasury Department, 1910-1919.
Processing History
The records of the Treasury Department were assembled by the Manuscript Division staff from numerous accessions of Treasury Department records received by the Library of Congress from various sources since 1905. Many of the records were formerly identified and cataloged as separate collections, but have been brought together to form this collection of Treasury Department records. A finding aid was created in 1997 and revised in 2014.
