The papers of Lewis Varick Frissell, explorer and cinematographer, were given to the Library of Congress by his sister, Toni Frissell, in 1975.
Processing History
The Lewis Varick Frissell Papers were processed in 1977 and expanded in 1985. The finding aid was revised in 2012.

Some photographs have been transferred to the Library’s Prints and Photographs Division where they are identified as part of these papers.
