Acquisition Information
The papers of James Wyche Green were given to the Library of Congress by Green in 2004. Additional items were given by him in 2008 and by Meg Maguire, Green's daughter, in 2019.
Processing History
The papers of James Wyche Green were arranged and described by Amanda L. Loeb in 2016. The 2022 Addition was arranged and described by Chad Conrady in 2022. A digital file was received as part of the James Wyche Green Papers and assigned a unique digital ID number. Use the digital ID number to request an access copies of the file. The finding aid was updated in 2023 by Maria Farmer as part of a division-wide remediation project by the Inclusive Description Working Group.

Transfers
Items have been transferred from the Manuscript Division to other custodial divisions of the Library. One audiotape has been transferred to the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division. Maps have been transferred to the Geography and Map Division. All transfers are identified in these divisions as part of the James Wyche Green Papers. Patrons are encouraged to contact these divisions in advance of a research visit.
