Provenance
The papers of Hugh McCulloch, U.S. secretary of the treasury, banker, and financier, were given to the Library of Congress by Louise McCulloch Yale in 1913. Additional material was received by transfer from the Smithsonian Institution in 1942 and by gift of John M. Kauffmann in 1994.
Processing History
The McCulloch Papers were bound by the Library in 1921. Items received after 1913 were added in 1942 and 2001. The finding aid was created in 2016.
