Acquisition Information
The papers of Glenn L. Martin, pioneer aviator, airplane manufacturer and businessman, were given to the Library of Congress by his sister, Della Martin, 1959-1960. Additional material was purchased in 1960.
Processing History
The papers of Glenn L. Martin were processed in 1979. The finding aid was revised in 2016 by Grover Batts, Esther Coles, and William Parham. The finding aid was updated in 2023 by Maria Farmer as part of a division-wide remediation project by the Inclusive Description Working Group.
Transfers
A collection of photographs of airplanes developed by Martin have been transferred to the Library's Prints and Photographs Division where they are identified as part of these papers.
