Acquisition Information
The papers of Eugene Schuyler, diplomat, author, translator, and scholar, were acquired through a gift by Elizabeth S. Stevens in 1917 and through purchases in 1942, 2018, and 2021.
Processing History
Part I of the papers of Eugene Schuyler were arranged and described in 1977 by Manuscript Division staff. Part II was processed and a finding aid created by Maria Farmer in 2018. Part III was processed and the finding aid revised in 2023 by Shandra Morehouse. Some items in the papers have undergone mold remediation.

A microfilm edition of part of these papers is available on one reel. Consult reference staff in the Manuscript Division concerning availability for purchase or interlibrary loan. To promote preservation of the originals, researchers are required to consult the microfilm edition as available.
