Acquisition Information
The papers of Elizabeth Allen Smart, lobbyist for the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union, were included among the papers given by the National Woman’s Party when the organization donated Group II of its records to the Library of Congress in 1979.
Processing History
The papers of Elizabeth Allen Smart were removed from Group II of the National Woman’s Party Records in 1979 and were processed as a separate collection in 2014 by Nan Thompson Ernst with assistance from Chanté Flowers. The finding aid was revised and converted to EAD in 2021 by Colleen Benoit Kim.
