Acquisition Information
Part I of the William H. Tunner and Margaret Ann Hamilton Tunner Papers was given to the Library of Congress by William S. Tunner in 2021. Parts II and III were given by H. Suzanne Tunner Hudson in 2021.
Processing History
The papers of William H. Tunner and Margaret Ann Hamilton Tunner were arranged and described by Emilia Schrier with the assistance of Tracey Barton, Sara Ludewig, and Shandra Morehouse in 2022. Part I of the collection had been arranged by the Office of Air Force History in 1980. Elements of this prior arrangement were retained during processing. The Office of Air Force History microfilmed the materials in Part I in 1980. This microfilm constitutes Part III. Some papers in Part I have undergone mold remediation and cleaning. The exterior covers of some scrapbooks in Part II have been removed because of mold, but the original order of the contents has been retained.
Transfers
Films and a sound recording have been transferred to the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division where they are identified as part of the William H. Tunner and Margaret Ann Hamilton Tunner Papers. Patrons are encouraged to contact the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division in advance of a research visit.
