Acquisition Information
The papers of Thomas Mallon were purchased by the Library of Congress in 2021, with additional material given to the Library by Mallon in 2023.
Processing History
The papers of Thomas Mallon were arranged and described by Katherine Duvall with the assistance of Shandra Morehouse, Chelsea Liu, and Kathleen O'Neill in 2024.
Digital files were received as part of the Thomas Mallon Papers on a variety of storage media, each of which was assigned a unique digital ID number. Use the digital ID number to request access copies of the files associated with each media. Transfers
Items have been transferred from the Manuscript Division to other custodial divisions of the Library. Audiotapes, videotapes, and commercially produced CDs and DVDs have been transferred to the National Audio-Visual Conservation Center. One publication was transferred to the Serial and Government Publications Division. All transfers are identified in these divisions as part of the Thomas Mallon Papers. Patrons are encouraged to contact these divisions in advance of a research visit.
Technical Requirements
Digital files were created on Windows and Mac operating systems, versions unknown. The content is primarily audio and video recordings (.wav and .mp4 formats respectively). Some text files (.pdf and .doc) are also included.
