Acquisition Information
The papers of Joshua Logan, author and theater and motion picture director and producer, were received as a bequest from Logan to the Library of Congress in 1989 and 1990.
Processing History
The papers of Joshua Logan were organized and described in 1994 by Donna Ellis with the assistance of Brian McGuire, Susie Moody, and Andrew Passett.
Transfers
Items have been transferred from the Manuscript Division to other custodial divisions of the Library. Audio disks and cassettes, reel-to-reel audiotapes, Dictaphone machines and belts, films, and videotapes have been transferred to the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division. Librettos, sheet music, and printed and manuscript scores have been transferred to the Music Division. Posters, postcards, and some photographs and drawings have been transferred to the Prints and Photographs Division. All transfers are identified in these divisions as part of the Joshua Logan Papers.
