Mark Eden Horowitz and Mark Katz processed the Jascha Heifetz Papers in 1998. Michael A. Ferrando coded and edited the finding in 2003, and Stephanie Akau and Jane Cross revised it in 2020.
Transfers
Sound recordings have been transferred to the Library of Congress Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division (MBRS) where they are indentified as part of the Jascha Heifetz Collection (MAVIS collection number 14531). See Appendix IV for an inventory of this material by format and publisher number. Some books were transferred to the Library of Congress general Music Division collections. See Appendix II for title information.

Jascha Heifetz's presence throughout Music Division collections is evidence of his frequent artistic collaborations. Two collections contain music written for or performed by Jascha Heifetz. They include the Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco Papers, which contains I profeti, the concerto Castelnuovo-Tedesco wrote for Heifetz, and the Erich Wolfgang Korngold Collection contains masters for the Concerto for Violin, which Heifetz premiered. The Ruggiero Ricci Papers and Henryk Szeryng Collection contain several Heifetz transcriptions. The Leonard B. Smith Papers contain Heifetz's arrangements for the Ford Radio Hour Orchestra. Numerous collections in the Music Division contain correspondence from Jascha Heifetz, including the Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge Foundation Collection, Artur Rubinstein Correspondence, Harold Bauer Collection, Morton Gould Papers, Sergei Rachmaninoff Archive, Vernon Duke Collection, Harold Spivacke Collection, Danny Kaye and Sylvia Fine Collection, Boris Koutzen Collection, and Louis Kaufman Collection. Photographs of Heifetz can be found in the Leonard Bernstein Collection and Andre Kostelanetz Collection.
