Processing History
The Morton Gould Papers were processed by Ryan Ebright, Catherine Hughes, Christopher Reali, Lina Terjesen, and Christopher Hartten between June 2010 and January 2011. A finding aid for the music materials was completed in late 2010. It was revised in early 2011 to include the remaining non-music materials. The finding aid was coded for EAD by Christopher Hartten. Susan Vita processed additional materials in 2016 and Nancy Seeger updated the finding aid to include those materials in Sept. 2016.
Transfers
Cassettes, discs, VHS tapes, and a piano roll from the Morton Gould Papers have been transferred to the Library of Congress Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division where they are identified as part of the Morton Gould Collection (MAVIS no. 12351). An inventory of this material is available in the Music Division's collection file.

The Morton Gould Performance Library contains materials created by Gould or under his supervision for studio use as well as compositions and arrangements for concert performances, film and television scores, stage works, juvenilia, and sketches. The USIA Artistic Ambassador Program Musical Commissions (ML31.U72) contains a holograph manuscript of Gould's Patterns for Piano (1987).
