Summary | Dentist Harry Lepman and his wife Sara collected American political memorabilia and artifacts. The collection consists of sheet music, mostly songs, the majority of which were composed to rally public support for military efforts in the Spanish-American War, World War I and World War II. The patriotic titles are enhanced by colorful cover art depicting American patriotic themes and images. Many notable songwriters of the day are represented, including Irving Berlin, George M. Cohan, and Albert and Harry von Tilzer. |
