Processing History
The Oliver Smith Papers are currently in process. Christopher Hartten, Jennifer Lewis, and staff members of the Library of Congress Preservation Directorate processed the design materials from 2015 to 2022. Christopher Hartten coded the finding aid in 2017. Isabelle Cheng added digital items to the container list in 2021 and Mónica Hurd updated the finding aid in 2022.

The Peggy Clark Papers (ML31.C59) and Roger Stevens Papers contain design materials and correspondence by Smith. Additional correspondence and business papers are found in the Leonard Bernstein Collection, Aaron Copland Collection, and Harold Prince Papers. The American Ballet Theatre Archive contains photographs of Smith.
