Scope and Content Note
The McKim Fund Collection primarily consists of compositions commissioned by the McKim Fund since its establishment in 1970. The Music series contains holograph scores, photocopies of manuscripts, computer-generated scores, sketches, and printed scores and parts. The collection also contains Programs from the concerts sponsored by the Fund, a number of which are autographed by the performers. The Letters series contains two letters of note purchased by the Fund, one from Edward Elgar to George Bernard Shaw and one from Igor Stravinsky to Gavral Paitchadze.
