Summary	The Music Critics Association of North America has served as the only North American association for professional classical music critics since 1956. Prominent early members included leading critics such as Paul Hume of the Washington Post, Miles Kastendieck of the New York Herald Tribune, and Harold C. Schoenberg of the New York Times.
