There are also photographs related to Heinsheimer's three published books.
The Writings series document Heinsheimer's activities as a writer. Articles for a variety of publications in Germany and the United States largely comprise the series, which also includes speeches and two of his three books.
Heinsheimer's Subject Files primarily include articles, clippings, programs, catalogs, biographical material, notes, scripts, writings, and promotional materials that he gathered regarding composers, music organizations, and venues. There are also files regarding his three published books as well as radio stations and publications for which he wrote. There are a small amount of financial papers related to his journalism activities.
Three scrapbooks regarding Heinsheimer's published books comprise the Scrapbooks series. They largely contain book reviews and fan mail.
The Music series contains five works that range from a composition for piano to a score for full orchestra. Two scores are signed, and one work is a holograph.
