Serge Rips collection of King Bhumibol Adulyadej music manuscripts, 1946-1995

Custodial History

Serge Rips, a friend of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, assembled the materials in this collection over an unspecified time period. Following Rips' death, Faye Cohen, a friend of his widow, donated the materials to the University of Maryland in July 2004. In November of that year, the materials were transferred to the Music Division of the Library of Congress, where they were officially received in 2005.
